General Questions

Panchmahala is not a traditional school. It is a hybrid educational ecosystem combining NIOS-accredited formal academics with skill programs, cultural preservation, and community engagement. Students combine structured academics with practical learning in agriculture, craft, technology, and civic participation.

Yes. Panchmahala is being developed by the Indian Navyuvak Humanitarian Education Trust (iNHET), a registered non-profit organization. We are currently in the process of obtaining 12A and 80G certifications to make donations tax-deductible for Indian donors.

Panchmahala is located in Panchmahala near Mokama in Bihar, India. We are intentionally pointing people to Panchmahala rather than sharing more specific site details on the public website.

Admission & Students

Student applications will open in 2026 when our pilot phase launches. The admission process will involve: (1) NIOS registration for formal academics, (2) iNHET application including a personal statement and interview, (3) Family consultation to ensure alignment with our educational model. We prioritize students from rural Bihar who demonstrate curiosity, commitment to community, and willingness to engage in all aspects of campus life.

Yes, hostel accommodation will be available. Phase 1 (2026-2028) will include basic hostel accommodation for approximately 20 students. Later phases envision expanded facilities. Hostels will be designed for shared living, with community kitchens, common study areas, and integration with the natural surroundings.

Initially, we will focus on secondary school students (ages 14-18) pursuing NIOS certifications. Over time, we plan to expand to include: (1) Bridge programs for younger students, (2) Post-secondary vocational training, (3) Adult education and women's programs, (4) Community workshops open to all ages.

Donation & Support

Yes, we welcome donations from individuals, foundations, and corporations. We are currently in the process of obtaining 12A registration and 80G tax exemption status in India. Our bank account is not active right now, so please contact us directly at inhetedu@zohomail.in before planning any support or CSR partnership.

Donations are allocated across four priority areas: (1) Construction and infrastructure (50%), (2) Educational programs and faculty (25%), (3) Student scholarships and operational costs (15%), (4) Reserve and sustainability fund (10%). We are committed to financial transparency and will publish annual reports detailing all expenditures.

Site visits are welcome for serious donors, potential partners, and educators. Please contact us at least two weeks in advance to schedule a visit. We can arrange transportation from Mokama Junction or Patna. During your visit, you will meet the team and understand the local context firsthand.

Construction & Timeline

Construction is happening in three phases. Phase 1 (2026-2028) includes the Library Tower, basic hostel, and kitchen - enough to launch our pilot with 20 students. Phase 2 (2028-2031) adds expanded classrooms, the amphitheatre, and women's education facilities. Phase 3 (2031-2036) completes the campus vision with capacity for 200+ students.

Yes. The land in Panchmahala is family-held and committed to the trust for educational purposes. It is in a rural setting that supports the long-term campus vision, and we are in the process of formalizing the long-term arrangement with the trust.

The Library Tower and initial structures are being designed by a team of architects committed to vernacular, climate-responsive design. Construction is being managed through a combination of professional contractors for structural work and local masons and craftspeople for finishing. We prioritize local employment and training, making the construction process itself an educational opportunity.
